Aidan turned four on May 16th and I am still having a hard time getting used to it. Seriously, I can't believe how fast the time goes. He is really excited although he isn't thrilled that now he has FOUR minutes on the time out chair instead of three. The weekend was a whirlwind of birthday celebrations for him, although his favorite was his Pirate party with his friends on Sat. We had eleven 3-5 year old friends and he had a blast. They played games, had a treasure hunt which ended with a treasure chest pinata, and had cake. He loves all his new toys, especially the pirate boat and his hulk gloves. You will see in a picture below that they look like big old boxing gloves and make hulk noises when you hit something. He loves them, but poor little Baylee isn't quite sure how much she likes being his punching bag. It really was a fun weekend, and he is such a sweet little boy.
Some of the little pirates on the "pirate ship."
They played "Pirates and Skalywags" which was just like duck duck goose. It was so funny. Some of the boys didn't quite understand and would get up and run every time. SO cute!
Cleaning up after breaking open the "keyanta" as Aidan has been calling it. They were all sooo excited when it broke open.
I guess this is a sign that he had a good time. He refused to take these gloves off for bed. He said they would protect him at night. I thought he woudl eventually take them off before he went to sleep but found him like this when I went to check on him. Silly boy!
